AuditDesktop allows you to edit engagement method. To do so, you must have the necessary user permission rights. You can edit the Library's main method or only a specific audit method. The choice of method that will be edited will influence your subsequent work with the program.

When you edit the Library's main method, all newly created audits will be created on the basis of the edited method, and all existing audits will remain unchanged. If you choose to edit a specific audit method, the Library's main method as well as all existing audits will remain unchanged.

Sections

Here you can add or remove method sections. Each section can contain an unlimited number of subsections, organised logically and hierarchically among each other. Each section can be Visible/Invisible and Active/Inactive. This function can be used when you need to hide Library files. When establishing the sections' hierarchy, you can apply your own preference to the sequence of the audit engagement's stages.

The following actions can be accessed both through the buttons and the context menu of sections:

  • Add a new section (main section or subsection)
  • Edit the section's code, name and description
  • Delete the selected section
  • Add new sections (to paste data from the clipboard, you can also use the Ctrl+V keyboard shortcut)
  • Import from a selected file
  • Export the selected sections to file
  • Import files - import from a folder. Select the folder and import its files as working papers. Mark the Recursive option to import all working papers in the same order as Files, or mark Create links to import them as Links.

The existing sections can be moved and reorganised. To do so, select the section, press and hold the Shift keyboard button. Drag the selected section up or down with the mouse. The section can be moved before, after, or over another section. If you drop the selected section before or after another one, the program will organise it as its neighbour. If you drop it over another section, it will be organised as a subsection.

Note

Depending on your license some of the functions described might not be available.

Description

AuditDesktop allows you to add method description. Descriptions are useful in cases when there are multiple versions of one and the same method.

Working papers

The program supports work with the following types of working papers:

You can create, delete, import and export working papers, both through the available buttons and the context menu of each working paper:

  • Add a new working paper
  • Delete the selected working paper
  • Import from a selected file
  • Export the selected working paper to file

All working papers can be imported and exported as parts of an audit method. This enables you to move an already set up document to another method or database.

Note

Depending on your license some of the functions described might not be available.

Item settings

You can configure additional settings for each item:

  • Visible item in sections - set the item's visibility in Work on engagement, after selecting the section it belongs to
  • Active item in sections - whether the item is active. If the option is not marked, working with the file will not be possible.
  • To be checked - whether the item is required to be checked by the team leader. This is part of the Documents report.
  • To be done - whether the item is required to be done by the team. This is part of the Documents report.
