AuditDesktop supports two types of user accounts:
¶ Firebird User
AuditDesktop works with RDBMS Firebird. This
allows the program to have an unlimited number of users logged in at the
same time. The only limitation concerns the network infrastructure and
your server's resources. Each time the user logs in the program, they
have to enter their username and password unless they were entered by
default during database set up.
¶ Windows User
AuditDesktop works with Windows/Active Directory users. This function is
available only when the Firebird server is installed on Windows OS and
the respective settings are applied. This type of user account enables
you to work with Single Sign-On. Once authenticated during the Windows
login, you do not need to re-enter your username and password. All you
need to do is click the Windows user button in the program's Login
window and click Login.
