The ExpressQuantumGrid is capable of displaying data in a hierarchical
master-detail relationship. Each visual nesting level is represented by
a grid level with an associated View. Every time a master row gets
expanded, the corresponding detail View is displayed.
Settings that can be customised include:
- Columns retrieved from a data set
- Column positions
- Grouping
- Filtering
- Sorting
- Summary calculations
A convenient way to customise these settings is by using the Popup Menu.
It provides a set of menus that appear when a user right-clicks within a
column header, View's footer, group footer or group row.
The grid below demonstrates two tables in a master-detail relationship.
The first ''master'' table contains information on the films and
contains fields such as CAPTION, YEAR, RUNTIME, etc. The second
''detail'' table describes the actors involved in film production, with
fields such as Occupation, Person, Description.
